Core Policy

Core Policy

We understand the core you send us, is in fact, a core. With that said we need to make sure the core we receive is structurally sound and is a good base for us to build the next transmission. Just like the one, we built for you. We need to make sure the unit is complete and all the parts are usable and warrantable for future customers.

HOW TO SEND BACK MY CORE

RedLine Transmissions will provide a prepaid shipping label to send back the core.

LET’S MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR FULL REFUND!

The return of an acceptable core must be sent back to RedLine Diesel Power within twenty-one  (21) days of receiving your transmission. If more time is needed, just ask! We would be happy to make arrangements to fit your schedule. RedLine Diesel Power will provide a shipping label to send back the core within the allotted time frame.  Please make sure to:

*Use the same RedLine Tote and include all clips and holding bars
*Drain ALL the fluid
*Return within 21 days or receipt

Once the core arrives, it is scheduled for inspection. Please note, transmission inspections are done in-house on a bi-weekly basis, in order received so we kindly as for your patience.  All cores are inspected to make sure the unit is complete and there is no damage. Upon inspection, if the transmission is considered to be in good condition with no broken parts, a full refund will be issued. Our goal is to get your refund back to you as soon as possible.

RedLine Transmissions reserves the right to withhold the full or partial core charge if the core is damaged, broken or unusable. Anything beyond normal wear and tear may decrease the refund of the core amount. (i.e. missing parts, broken parts, cracked housings/case, etc.). If the core is sent back after the twenty-one  (21) day timeframe, penalties may be incurred up to $25 per day past the twenty-one  (21) day allowance. If the core is not received within 30 days, your entire refund may be forfeited.  If you need more time, simply ask! We are always accommodating! Core refunds are processed monthly in the form of a check made out to the purchaser.

What is an Acceptable Core?

Core must be in good condition and has to be buildable for the next customer transmission. We are not looking to make money on the core, only to make sure it is comparable to the core we used in your build. The general rule is to make sure the core does not alter the integrity of the build, keeping in mind aesthetics are secondary. To reuse components of the transmissions such as planetaries, shafts, etc., they need to be in good condition. If these parts are exploded or welded together, they cannot be used for future customer builds. We will determine and hold complete discretion on what is an acceptable core and what is not. RedLine Transmissions will not refund any core charge for broken, unusable, or abused cores as they will be considered and deemed unacceptable. We do not accept cores disassembled previously or partial core returns. They will be deemed unusable and are unacceptable as a core return and the entire refund will be forfeited. The core must match the transmission purchased. Any transmission that does not match what we sent to you is unacceptable. In that case, RedLine Transmissions will not refund the core charge.
